Update from Brian:
Our 12 year old boxer has been diagnosed with DM. She has stopped walking. Even with the cart she does not seem to want to go. Your prayers for her recovery would be welcomed. She is a friend to all.
Update from Brian:
Thank you very much! DM is similar to multiple sclerosis in people. It affects the central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain and spinal cord. The CNS is responsible for carrying nerve impulses or messages to and from the muscles. Axons carry these messages and are similar to electrical wires. As with electrical wires, axons require insulation. Without insulation, the message leaks out. In the progression of DM, the myelin sheath (insulation) on the axon is damaged or slowly destroyed rendering the muscle incapable of carrying out a movement.

I wanted to ask for prayers for my birth moms dog Bizmark, who has gone missing. He was outside in the yard enjoying the afternoon sun, when mom came out he was gone. We believe that someone came by and took him, for he is a very friendly little dog. I ask for your prayers and those of your prayers warriors that Bizmark can be found, or at the very least that my birth mom be comforted.
Thank you for your kindness!
With warm regards,
From Juliette: I wanted to update you on Casper our family cat that you have so kindly prayed for. Casper was not operated on as the vet discovered his tumor is cancerous. We decided we could not put him through chemotherapy, so have opted to give him steroids. we know that this will not cure hin, but it will hopefully prolong his life and allow him a good quality of life. it was an extememly upsetting time for us, but we belive we are doing what is best for Casper.I know that your prayers and support have helped so much and they continue to be of such comfort. Please keep praying for him that he will be with us for as long as possible and that he will not experience any pain. Thank you so much, Juliette

He died looking at his non related big brother. while we were burieyng him, drizzy (his once again non relating big brother) helped us dig the hole. We have a beautiful wooden cross where he is with blue flowers covering his grave. He will be forever loved.

I am back for another quick prayer please. Firstly, thank you so much for all and any prayers said by yourself or anyone else related to your site. God bless all of you! You are such a comfort knowing there are prayerful pet lovers out there.
My baby cat Ginny has gone missing today. I pray she returns quickly and safely. She doesn’t normally leave the garden and im worried sick. The last time she went missing over night she was trapped in a court yard and couldn’t get out. It took us days to rescue her :(.
Thank you so much
From Christanna and Kyle:

Thank you Lou Ann for bringing this to our attention!
I was alerted by an acquaintance of a dire situation he is currently involved with, and a request for prayers.
A St. Bernard dog, Franky, is in serious danger of being euthanized for a most minor offense that he truly is not responsible for and so very sadly his owner does not have his best interests at all in mind, is not acting responsibly; apparently does not even care for Franky but refusing to allow him to be adopted by another individual who wants very much to help. The situation sounds most dire and when the prayer request came I thought immediately of our prayer warriors. A terribly sad situation and might I ask the prayer warriors for their urgent prayers on Franky's behalf and those trying to help him. Sincerest thanks! Lou Ann
Hi everyone. I wanted to update you regarding Luna. Her first tests said her blood sugar was very high, that's when I asked for your prayers. In between this time and her second test results her symptoms pretty much dissapeared. Her second results arrived this week and said her blood sugar was just fine! Her pancreas isn't working at its best but a treatment will fix that. So, no diabetes, no daily insulin shots, she's fine. Thank you so much for your prayers, I will be praying for you and your pets too.

PLEASE keep my Panther kitty boy in your Prayers. He had an exray of his back today and Vet found something "weird" sort of under his back spine. Vet is concerned and is going to have the Radiologist look at it next week. The Vet ALWAYS poo poos things so when HE is concerned I am TERRIFIED. PLEASE Pray it is nothing serious. Panther is only 7 years old. Thank you!
I have written to you before when our cats have either gone missing or needed your prayers for their recovery, the outcome has always been good for our cats. I really need your prayers again for our family cat "Casper" he is 15years old and needs to have surgery on monday for a tumor in his stomach. please pray for a successful operation for him and a good recovery.

Praise the Lord...!
We have our Reesie back. He got out of the yard early on Sunday morning and by Monday evening, his picture was posted online on the Animal Control web site.
So grateful that he was quickly scooped up and taken to safety where we could pick him up! I went to get him on Tuesday morning, but they wouldn't release him until he'd been fixed and had his rabies shot. So we got him today (Thursday.)
He's a little sluggish from his sterilization surgery, but he's clearly glad to be home.
Thank you so much for your prayers. God keeps us all!
From her owners:
Hi! My dog Cassie is 8 years old. She is a happy, loving little girl who was just diagnosed with kidney failure. She is hospitlized now but need for her to come home better. Please pray for her! She has 3 little girls at home awaiting for her and who misses her so much!

A note to thank you again for your kindness and support for our family. I truly believe that the prayers for Sparky are working. We took him to an Oncologist and got a very good feeling from him, the office staff and the entire facility. The Vet said "He's not a sick dog (because Sparky acts so normal), he's just a dog with a problem". I like that attitude. So, we are going to go with his recommendation of five radiation treatments for him. Hopefully they will start next week. I spoke to the Vet again on Friday, asking if we can expedite the treatments because I felt he was getting worse, but he explained that Sparky is most likely congested again too, (and not the tumor growing at an increasingly rapid speed as I feared), so he prescribed some medicine for him that have helped him breathe a little easier over the weekend. I keep putting Holy Water on his head and praying, which confuses him a bit, but I want to do all that I can for him.
Thank you too for your continued prayers for my Sigfried. This means so much to me. I keep thinking that the false alarm (and finding her twin) in December must be a sign from God to keep the faith. It was so unusual to get a call after so long. It reminded me of what happened when you found Honey and the woman who had your weather-worn flyer but could still read your phone number on it. I keep your miracle of finding Honey in my thoughts all the time.
Well, I just wanted to update you on where we are with him. I will keep you posted on his progress.
My name is kristina. I'm so grateful for your blog...it's beautiful! Your ministry is so special.

This is my website. Nino Atocha Please feel free to send any and all of your prayer requests anytime. The intentions of Prayers for Our Pets are in my intentions each day. I love the prayers on your site and included your site on my links page. Hopefully, you will get more people praying.
Many blessings from the Santo Nino de Atocha for you, Esther, and all!...
I attached a picture of my boy, Geronimo! He has survived cancer twice and a ruptured ACL. We just celebrated his 14th birthday. He is such a blessing and we pray together every day. If you recall, I was the person who at one point wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't promoting anything. Sometimes just want to pass along something I've learned along the way.
Thanks again Esther for such a loving and needed site!

Please pray for my sisters beloved dog Max. He has been running a high fever for a few days and they cannot seem to find what is causing it. Tonight they found out part of his esophagus is paralyzed. He is a sweetheart. Your prayers for him are deeply appreciated.
I just wanted to let you know that I think about your site often and all the good that you've created with prayers for pets..and i continue to pray for the pets..I love reading the good news too-- thank you for all your posts.. They go such a long way for people going through terrible things and for the people praying..it's just wonderful to see the good news posts and to feel like you're doing something to help when you get to say a prayer for someone going through something with their loving pet.
Giacomo the cat is doing great... I'll comment more prayers..To lend more support:) and I will NEVER forget your kindness and the kindness of your followers and fellow prayer warriors.
Please pray for the safe and quick return of our one year old puppy, Reese. He got out of the yard and we haven't been able to locate him nearby. He's been gone about half a day. We are very hopeful that he'll come sniffing around soon.
We are a family of two parents and five kids, and we all love Reesie like the baby of the family. Please join us in praying. Thank you.
Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Feast of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The above picture is from the statue in the Church of St. Joseph on Molokai. That church was built by Saint Damien of Molokai.
God bless you all!
From Lou Ann:
And...I found a message from Stella's new owner:
I just received an e-mail from the friend who had posted me about Stella the cat, the cat from the veterinary office, who was very much in need of a loving and caring home following her surgery. It seems that some hearts have softened - Lyn's landlord has now granted permission for Lyn to have two cats, and some other objections seem to have been dismissed. Lyn is now preparing to personally take Stella home herself.
Continued prayers for all to proceed well, but it was certainly heartwarming news. Special thanks to you and all the prayer warriors!!
And...I found a message from Stella's new owner:
Dear Ones: I am the person who bonded with Stella many months ago and when she was declawed (all four paws) by my vet (who is my employer), my heart broke. What wonderful news!! Thank you all for praying and thank you Lou Ann for the update (and for bringing this to our attention)!
However, I am happy to report that my roommate has changed her mind and Stella will be coming home in about 2-3 weeks to spend her days with me and my other cat, Bodhi. Since her declawing, Stella has withdrawn from the office dramas and now happily sleeps in the sun. I've told her she is coming home with me and when she sees me...she smiles. She knows her life is going to change.
Thank you - all of you - for your prayers for Stella. She is a unique soul. She was found on the streets of Philadelphia 2 years ago and my vet rescued her. Stella and I understand each other.
Your prayers helped turn this situation around and I am very thank-full for all the prayer-full support.
From the comment section:
Please pray to Fr Seelos, St Therese, St Francis and St Gertrude that the medication my vet prescribed for my dear cat Phoebe works and gives her some relief and improves her health. We love her so much and would be eternally grateful for your loving prayers for intercession.

FANTASTIC NEWS! Peanut will be OK!!
My husband and I spent all day yesterday at the University of Washington Veterinary College at Pullman where, under the care of the neurology and neurosurgery department, Peanut had an MRI and spinal tap. They determined that he had suffered a "spinal cord stroke" and with extensive physical therapy, will recover. He will be spending the next several days at the university undergoing physical therapy and we'll bring him home to resume the therapy at home.
When I asked for your prayers Peanut couldn't move his legs and could barely lift his head. He hadn't eaten or urinated for at least 2 days. I couldn't imagine that he'd be able to recover from something this sudden and devasting but I tried to be positive and repeat affirmations. Knowing you're praying with me helped me to relax occasionally so I could at least calm my mind and see him healthy and whole.
We received a call from the university last night informing us that Peanut has been eating, drinking, urinating, defecating, and has already begun his physical therapy!! I truly see this as a miracle.
I don't know how I can ever thank you all for your prayers except to join you in prayer for other sweet pets who need help too.
God bless you all and thank you!

Yesterday our 6 year old little Peanut just fell over and couldn't get up. He cannot stand at all and can hardly hold his head up. He's had several x-rays and the doctors can't detect a cause. Today we're taking him to a university veterinary college for for in depth tests. Please pray that the doctors can find a cause of this, that it's fixable and that our little guy recovers. We're devastated. He's our only baby. Thank you so very much.

I think your website is wonderful!
I would like to request a prayer for my missing cat Pisi. She's a stray that I started looking after and loving 9 months ago and she's been living in our garden and on our balcony. She's been gone for almost a week and I pray for her health, safety and return constantly.
I'm pregnant right now and so, so depressed that it's killing me - I know the stress is bad for my baby, but I am just so devastated, as I love my Pisi so much, I never thought possible.
Thank you for all your prayers and I will be praying for your loved pets, too!
We are a childless couple blessed with 2 lovely dogs, one of whom is sick and is having frequent seizures. Her name is Ozzie, she's a yorkie. My wife and I feel like we are being stabbed in our chests every time we see her in this condition. Please offer a prayer for her and for us. Thank you and God bless.

I'd like to submit an emergency prayer request for my missing feral that I care for...she has been gone now over two weeks, and that is about a week longer than she has ever stayed away, so I am very, very concerned for her well-being. She has been spayed, so I don't believe she is wandering for a mate, and I cannot figure out any reason for her to be away this long. Life is so dangerous out there for these ferals, and I try to protect her the best I can, and pray for her safety.
Please help me pray for her, and her safe return. Thank you so much.

Please pray for our dog, Mikho. He's nine and has advanced arthritis. We are putting him down tomorrow so he won't be in pain anymore. Please keep him and his owners in your prayers as they are forced to make this difficult choice.

Please pray for my beloved pet, maxi. He is confined right now. He is in serious health condition right now. He suffered from a head injury after falling down when my brother carried him. I kept on praying for him. Our whole family loves him so much. He is considered as part of the family. Please pray for his speedy recovery, and I wish and I hope, she will return back to the "normal him", the healthy dog we used to know. Thank you for prayers. It would be such a big help.
Friday, March 9, 2012
I would also ask that you continue to pray for her missing cat Siegfried. It has been a long time since she went missing but Sue has not lost hope.

I received the following email from Paula, Mikey's owner.
Thank you for your prayers and your words of support. Mikey was loved very much and so he will be missed tremendously. We are trying to cope with the silence that he left. We are trying to keep our other dog, Bella, occupied because we know that she is missing him as well.Your prayers really do touch so many people and their pets. Mahalo nui loa!
... We are very touched.
Your prayers have helped my cat, Atticus, in the past and I am once again asking for your prayers. Atticus lost one of his rear legs to a freak accident a couple of years ago. He is now losing strength in his remaining leg. He is being treated with steroids, but if they are not successful we will have have to make a difficult decision to relieve him of his pain. Please keep him in your prayers for a recovery.
Thank you very much,
From Lou Ann, our friend and prayer warrior:
... a dear friend contacted me today about a difficult situation involving a cat she befriended at a veterinary office where she helps out. The cat lived at the veterinary office but sadly the staff has really not connected with her. Stella had a recent surgery this past weekend and now is in need of a loving place to call home while she heals. My friend is only allowed to have one cat in her current living situation and sadly may not take another cat in.
She is hoping and praying to find someone who can take in dear Stella for her recovery (expenses paid) where Stella can be loved and cared for as she should. They are in the Chester County area of Pennsylvania. While my heart is breaking because I am not permitted to have any pets here, my friend asked if I knew of any suggestions that might help. I did give her some suggestions where she might try, but I also wanted to post you of the situation in hope that with the power of prayer we could seek holy intercession for Stella's situation - for Lyn to find someone who can shelter and love Stella.
Lyn has such a beautiful way with our many four-legged friends. This cat has not known a happy loving life...
Spot is a very special kitty. He went missing Tuesday February 28th on a day I did not think could get any worse. I am asking that you all please pray for my Spot's return. He is a very shy boy and I worry about him day and night. I live near Houston and will be moving apartments soon. Please pray that he is safe and comes home soon. Thank you. God Bless....

I hope you do not mind me emailing you. Clare (Macy’s mum) called me last night to tell me about your amazing page.
I am writing to you as I have lost my little girl Missy. Missy is a Silky Terrier x Maltese and is 5 years old this year.
Missy is very much a huge part of my life and I miss her so much, coming home is just not the same anymore. I feel so much emptiness.
She has been missing for 9 weeks yesterday after escaping from a relatives yard while staying with them while we were away on holiday.
The last positive sighting of Missy was on the 18th of January. She has wandered kilometers from where she went missing and to those that have come close she runs away from.
I still have faith that Missy is out there somewhere and trying to find her way home, and was hoping you could pray for Missy to come home safely to me, I would truly be so grateful.
Thank you so much – I am hoping for a miracle!
Please pray for a beautiful little puppy named Esperanza. She lives in Nicaragua. A child threw her in the air and she came down hard, since then she has been adopted by a wonderful family. She is not eating well, 3 trips to the vet with no improvement. She is a little gift from God, please pray for her, she is very special to many of us
You posted for prayers for my lost dog Maggie on Feb 2 and she was home by the 5th, truly a miracle. This area is full of coyote.

Please pray for our chocolate lab, Bisto. He had surgery for a torn ACL on his back right leg in November and on his left back leg 10 weeks later. He seemed to be doing nicely until today. He is favoring his back right leg which we thought was healing nicely being that it has been so long since that surgery. Please pray that this is just a minor setback. It breaks my heart to hear him cry when he tries to stand up. Thank you so much!

I am so heartbroken as I fear my black cat Joey is missing forever. He must have snuck out of the house yesterday morning, I have been looking for him nonstop. I have been praying for him and have my friends and family praying. I came to your blog so I may have more access to prayers for my Joey. He is a short-haired black cat, so very friendly and he is declawed so its important I find him as soon as possible as he is not able to defend himself. He is very talkative and I am hoping that someone took him and in and will bring him to animal shelter promptly. Please pray thank you so much!!
