Prayer Request for Mr. Peepers' Owners

"Mr. Peepers" the Dog

From Henrietta and Rudy:
Would you be so kind enough to post a request for the comfort through the loss of our Pekingese, Mr. Peepers?
One week ago, he was diagnosed with a heart murmur, and had fluid on one of his lungs. Fluid was also collecting
in his abdomen area, which we had tapped twice. This fluid was putting pressure on his windpipe, and he struggled
to breathe. He couldn't sleep, and was very restless. We kept him home with us until he was ready to go on his own.
He expired at 9:15 PM, on the night of August 27. Mom is grieving hard because this was her "little man", and our best
friend. Mr. Peepers was 10 years old. I am attaching a recent photo of him. Please post that, too.
Thank you very much, and I appreciate what you do for other pet owners through your blog. God bless you always.
Please say a prayer for Henrietta and Rudy as they mourn the loss of their beloved pet.

Photo and Updated Prayer Request for Cashy the Dog

From Danielle:

I am so afraid to lose my Cashy boy.. This is the most difficult experience of my life..

I just thought that since there are 4 pages dedicated to my Cashy, you would like to see how handsome he is. This picture is recent from just a few days ago and you can tell he is very sick. For an update, he is still losing weight and now he is literally skin and bones. He will not eat. It looks as though we will have to put my poor baby down soon.. Please continue the prayers. And also my other dog Max is showing many signs of depression. I am afraid he knows his big brother Cashy is dying. Please also pray for my Max. Thank you so much..
Please friends, keep praying for Cashy, Max and Danielle!

Updated Prayer Request for Cleo the Dog

Update on Bogie the Dog

From John: Thank you very much for the prayers. It seems to be having an impact!
We got word that Bogie's blood results were good, and the x-ray
indicates that the tumor is not attached to bone. They went ahead and
took a sample from the tumor and will send that to lab but as for now
Bogie will have that tumor removed in two weeks from now. We are still
hoping that the biopsy will be negative because the doctor is still
baffled and concerned about the firmness and the mass of it, but at
least he has a more positive goal.

Bogie is special in a way because he is like an angel. He has a heart
that is so pure and innocent. He has never growled or intimated any of
our other pets or people. He is always wagging his tail and his eyes
light up when we take out the leash. Bogie is the eldest but still
full of life and energy. I know it isn't Bogie's time yet.

Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. I'll be sure to send my
love and wishes to all of the other pets and animals that are in need
or lost.

Special Prayer Request for Animals on the East Coast

From our friend Lou Ann:
I wondered if you could possibly post a prayer request for everyone to please be remembering in prayer all the animals in the path of this very dangerous Hurricane Irene which is set to be bearing down on the East coast this weekend.

Had a special request come to me to pray especially for the wild horses who inhabit the many islands on the Eastern seaboard, and so I thought maybe we could do a prayer request for all our beloved four-legged friends, native wild or pets.

Prayer request for Vinnie the Cat

From Lee: Lee has left a new comment on your post "The Cat Came Back":

My boy Vinnie has been missing since August 1. He is a sweet and funny cat and deserves to be home where he belongs. I feel truly heartbroken and wretched without him here. Please help me with your prayers. Thank you so much.

Urgen Prayer Request for Bogie the Dog

From John:
I am requesting a prayer for my yellow lab Bogie. He started
with a small lump on his side this summer which has grown to an
enormous size. He is at the vet right now and they are taking x-rays,
and a biopsy. The vet is very concerned and is not positive. Bogey
has been by my side for 10 years and has brought me infinite joy. I
realize that our little buddies do not last forever but Bogey still
has lots of life to him and is very aware. It is only this tumor that
has taken a toll on all of us. I am sitting and waiting for any kind
of news but what I need right now is prayer for Bogie. Our other dogs
are feeling this too for they have been following me around like
something is bothering them. I know they feel our worries. Thank you
for providing this service. God bless.

Urgent Prayer Request and Update on Cashy the Dog

From Danielle:
It turns out that Cashy has stomach cancer and it is very advance. He will not make it more than a couple weeks. Please pray for my boy..
Thank you, God bless you,

I would ask that you join in praying to Bl. Seelos for his intercession.

Divine Physician,
You infused Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos
with the gift of Your healing.
By the help of his prayers,
sustain in me the grace to know Your will
and the strength to overcome my [pet's] afflictions.
For love of You, make [him/her] whole.
May I learn from the example of Father Seelos
and gain comfort from his patient endurance.
Amen.

Prayer Source *I have taken the liberty of changing the prayer to suit our prayers for Cashy and other sick pets.

Prayer Request for Cleo the Dog

From Kozz in comment section:
Please keep my poor Cleo a cocker spaniel in your prayers. She too is in a similar situation. The vet performed her spay surgery without checking her blood levels and later declared that her hemoglobin and platelets counts were very low. She had a blood transfusion two days back. Now, she has fever and is refusing to eat. Please pray that she does not have the dreaded autoimmune disease of the blood, as the vets here are not that experienced with the condition. She is very dear to us and a source of much joy.

Updated Prayer Request for Cashy the Dog

From Danielle:
The vet informed us that it is looking more and more like color cancer for Cashy... Please request a prayer.
Thank you,
Please continue to pray for Cashy's healing.

Sad News - Zoe the Dog

From Isabel:
I'm writing you in deepest grief – Zoe passed away a few hours ago. While I'm writing those lines, I still can't believe it.

I was about to write you yesterday already that the situation had been improving, as she had no fever anymore yesterday and already started to eat and drink again. She was even able to go for a few steps out of the clinic – unfortunately not in our presence as we still were told, not to visit her as our inevitable good-bye at the end of the visit might hurt her even more. So we stayed at home and deprived, heeding the doctor's advice.

Then there was this call, today at 7PM. From the vet's clinic, telling us that Zoe suddenly was in poor condition and we better should stop by.

As the clinic is about 25km away from our home it took us almost 40 min. in that rush our's traffic jam to get there. We dropped everything at home and tried to get there as fast as we could.

When we arrived there, the vet's assistant told us to wait, she would get her and bring her upstairs. Suddenly she came back with the doctor, telling us, that Zoe had just passed away.

My soul fell and fell, there was no hold at all. We missed her, we couldn't be with her in her very last moments in live. We wanted to be with her so much giving her all the warmth and love for her walk over the rainbow bridge. But we couldn't. I hope that she knew about us coming. And us, yearning eagerly for being united as a family again, giving her all the love and support that we weren't able to share in the past days.

But she went over the rainbow bridge on her own.

Luckily, she seems to have passed away peacefully as her loving heart stopped beating (there was almost no oxygen in her blood anymore, as her hematocrit value sank to 8 this evening).

We will bury her tomorrow, now she's laying on her blanket with a bouquet of flowers and friend just brought along.
WE MISS HER SO MUCH!

Please pray for her and her eternal future with all the other deeply loved pets in the paradise beyond the rainbow bridge...

Zoe – we love you so much – forever!
Please keep Isabel in your prayers as she suffers the loss of Zoe.

Prayer Request for Lea the Dog's Owner

Urgent Prayer Request for Zoe the Dog

"Zoe"

From Isabel:
I'm writing you from Hanau, Germany in a moment of deep despair and helplessness, as the whole family is fearing for the life or our deeply loved, 11 year-old Border Collie, Zoe (I added a picture that I took of her last Saturday), who is at the vet clinic since yesterday.
I was searching the internet for some kind of homepage for intercessions or so – and finally find your blog. It almost made me cry. It is so nice to see that one isn't alone in a moment like this and that there are people all over the world who share the same sympathy and compassion for their beloved pets. It hurt sooo much when a close friend of mine (who obviously isn't as compassionate about pets) got across to me earlier this afternoon that I shouldn't make such a brouhaha about a dog. I don't know what hurts more – knowing that my ppor Zoe-baby is for more than 24 hours at the vet or this lack of understanding.

Zoe suffers from a sudden anemia and high fever. We brought her to the VET E.R. Sunday afternoon because she suddenly wasn't able to stand up - and if she finally managed to stand on her 4 feet, she collapsed.
The vet said it's not sure yet, if it's evoked by an auto-immune disease or something else (as X-ray and CT showed, her organs look excellent). Her blood values are still miserable and she gets a second blood transfusion now. Although she was able to eat and drink something by herself today, she still is in very critical conditions.

Yesterday night I lighted a blessed candle for her and prayed for her, too. Maybe that's why she ate and drank something today.
I pray that her condition improves and it's NO auto-immune disease.

Please inclose her in your prayers! Maybe you can also post her name/photo on your website. Let's hope for the best. I love her sooooooo!

Best regards,

Recent Update - Pattikins the Cat

"Pattikins"
From Patricia:
I'd like to thank you and everyone else for praying for my cat Pattikins. She is still struggling with a cancerous tumor under her tongue. Some days she seems to respond better than others to the medication she's been given. I honestly never know is she's better or worse, but I'd like to ask everyone to continue praying for her. In particular, please pray that she eat, and that her doctor may have the right intuition on how to treat her. I'm attaching a photo of her, in case anyone would like to know what she looks like...

Thanks - and God bless!

Prayer Request for Lost Pet Cat

From Junbar CatIs
I am so happy to hear your news! My cat is currently lost, and all of the positive stories I read about animals making it home are helping me through this time.

Updated Prayer Request on Cashy the Dog

From Danielle:
Cashy is not doing very well. We brought him to the vet and got him X-rayed and all sorts of blood tests but the doctors can't seem to find the problem. He is still losing weight and muscle tone. The other day he vomited at least 15 times and was rushed to the vet. The Dr. gave him some pills to stop him from getting sick. He has been on a diet of plain white rice and boiled chicken. He also now has diarrhea which was mixed with some blood the other day. We are so sick over this! He is our baby. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you so so much!

Good News - Molly the Dog

From Denise:
Great news! Molly has returned home after being lost for 5 weeks. She is very thin and very tired but the vets assure me she will be fine with some R and R. Many many thanks for all the prayers for both Molly and me. Our family is reunited by the power of prayer.
Thank you so much,

Prayer Requests for Holly and Noel the Dogs

From Hallie:
I recently found out that my 7 year old golden retriever, Holly, probably has a highly aggressive mouth tumor. I've been sending out prayers requests ever since and a friend referred me to your blog, Prayers for our Pets. I was just wondering if you could post a prayer on your blog for my sweet Holly-girl. My mom and I are both having a hard time dealing with this, as we also have a 14 year old Chihuahua who is in poor health as well due to age and we never expected to lose Holly before Noel so we're asking for all the prayers we can get.

Thanks!

I know it's up to God to determine how long she has and I know it's out of my hands. I just pray that hopefully the best will happen for my dog, Cleo.

Thanks in advance,

Today's Update - Pattikins the Cat

From Patricia:
I thought I'd update you on Pattikins' condition: the tumor under the tongue is inoperable and there is little they can do other than try a trial medicine that only about 20% of cats respond well to. So I'd like to ask (again) for prayers that Pattikins may be in the 20% of cats who benefit from this drug...we will begin giving it to her tomorrow.

Thanks for all you do!

Prayer Request for Jundi the Cat

From Brittany:
Please Pray For Jundi To Find Her Way Home.

My cat Jundi got loose at a gas station in West Virginia as we were moving across the country from WI to NC. This was seven days ago. There have been a few sightings of her, but we weren't able to find her when we went back to WV this week to look for her. I just hope she can find her way back to us, as she is lost in unfamiliar territory. I feel so empty inside....she is my best friend. She would keep me company when I stayed up late to study, and I'd find her in my arms when I woke up every morning. Please pray for her safe return. Thank you.

Updated Prayer Request for Pattikins the Cat

From Patricia:
Please continue to pray for my cat Pattikins. She has been diagnosed with a tumor under her tongue, which I'm told is a very bad diagnosis...I'm taking her to a veterinary oncologist to see what treatments are available. I would be very grateful if everyone continued to pray for her. I'm not ready to lose her and I have faith that with prayer and treatment, a miracle can happen.

Thank you again, and God bless.

An Email of Thanks from a Grateful Pet Owner

Even though I am not replying to your comments left regarding your prayers, please know how grateful I am that you continue to pray for these pets, their owners and that you take the time to let them know. May God bless each and every one of you abundantly!

Now for the email:
Hi! this is Iñaki from the Philippines, i wrote to you couple of months ago for the recovery of my dog WIKI.. i just want to share to you my story.
Before Wiki came to me, i had a dog named Helter, like Wiki, she's a dachshund too. She was really sweet and loving, but i was heartbroken when i took her to the vet to find out that she had canine distemper. I was able to care for her for about three weeks until she finally rested in peace. It was really hard to go through that.
So when Wiki came (she's a gift from my girlfriend), i was so delighted and ready to love another dog. but when she got sick, that was when i realized i could be going to the same situation again. i took Wiki to the vet and she told me she seems to have parvovirus infection. I looked it up in the internet and found out that it is really a bad disease. So I decided to take the problem to God, then i stumbled upon your site because it has prayers for pets especially the sick ones. I copied it and prayed with wiki every night. After a week, i was really amazed that she began to eat by herself again! Your prayers and my prayers worked! i consider it a miracle because i really thought that my dog is going to die again then she regained her health and in fact she's really healthy and active now! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because i know that if not for your site and your help in praying, i could be a heartbroken dead-dog owner now. So there, just tell your followers with sick or missing dogs not to lose hope and continue to care for their lovely pets! i promise to pray for the pets who are sick, maybe the miracle that happened to us may happen to them too.

Urgent Prayer Request for Ellie the Dog

From the comment section:
Please pray for my dog, Ellie. She has been diagnosed with autoimmune disease and is not likely going to survive. Please pray for her return to health as well as for painless last days if that is God's will for her.
She has been a loved family member and a wonderful pet.
Thank you,

Prayer Request for Brittany the Dog

From Linda:
Please pray for my moms 3 year old teacup Chihuahua, Brittney who has been lost, and has left an empty space in my moms heart. Please pray that she finds her way back home. Amen

Prayer Request for Max the Dog

From Debi:
I've tried to place it on your site prayers for pets and seem to be unable.

Please pray for Max, he is our yellow lab that came into our life 6 months after we lost our beloved white retriever mix Miss E from rectal cancer. Max has been with us 5 short months and has stolen our hearts from day one. He is just so sweet and lovable. He helped us heal from Miss E. Now Max has a lump on his soft palate and it is cancer.... To go thru this again is just unbearable. This is breaking our hearts to know that we are going to lose another so soon. Max is only eight years old and acts like a pup. He has so much more to give and live. Please pray for him and that god may find it to heal him and let him stay longer with us please.

Note from Esther: If anyone cannot leave a comment, just email me.
