Urgent Prayer Request for Tristian the Dog

From the comment section:
Please pray for my dog Tristian. He is 10 years old and diagnosed with pancreantitis. We have been doing meds and treatment since Saturday. Now he won't eat anything. He drinks but doesn't even want to be near food. Please pray for health and comfort.

Hello...I am praying for Tristian. I've posted this a couple of times recently and want to re-post it for you.

(We started the supplement mentioned at the end 2 weeks ago and think it's great!)

Trying to think of a few helpful things. There is a medication called mirtazapine which is quite helpful with nausea and stimulating the appetite. Look it up and ask your vet. I know with pancreatitis you might then need to be careful that he doesn't eat too much and aggravate his condition.

Easy to digest proteins....Greek yogurt, boiled chicken, eggs, cottage cheese, brown rice...oatmeal.

If stools are loose or constipated, canned pumpkin regulates. Just a teaspoon or so at a time. Look for canned pumpkin, not canned pumpkin pie.

Just learned of this supplement. http://www.wysong.net/products/pdg-dog-cat-supplement.php

I am dealing with a somewhat similar situation and this is a way to increase appetite, put on weight without changing from the foods a dog is used to and likes and stress the system. It has all kinds of good stuff in it in a powder form. You will find other info on other sites on it too. I learned this from a pet store owner who works with holistic vets.

Sometimes mixing up location of eating/lying down/a different bowl or plate helps too.

God bless you both...you are not alone!

God Bless dear Tristian!
Blessed Francis Seelos, St. Francis, St. Jude, St. Roch, Our Lady, St. Martin, and St. Anthony, please please take Tristian into your healing comforting embrace, lay your healing hands upon him and restore his appetite and his health. May your holy angels be there and encourage him to eat and may he respond favorably to the treatments for his condition.
Please know that your Tristian is very much in my prayers.
I wonder perhaps if his medication may have affected his appetite?? Is it possible to check with his veterinarian?? I know in humans some meds can take away one's appetite completely. Just a thought.
Be assured of ongoing prayers for your Tristian, God Bless!
