Urgent Prayer Request for Fox the Cat

From Catherine:

Please pray for my dear 16-year-old orange tabby cat, Fox. I learned this week that pancreatic cancer has spread throughout his abdomen. The vet didn't want to put him down because he is currently still eating and cuddling. However, he is getting weaker and sleeping much more. Please ask God to protect him from fear and pain and to give me guidance in handling my responsibility for Fox's care. I don't want to end his life prematurely, but I don't want him to suffer, either.

Anonymous said...: Oh I`m sooo sorry , but your so right you don`t want to end his life prematurely, I just had to put my 18mo old cat to sleep as he was attcked by my neighbors dog so I had surgery done,the vet said 50/50 chance some call me selfish I called it love ! He had to be put to sleep after a week of not healing and getting any better and remining in pain. You are all in my thoughts and prayers..God be with You !; September 12, 2012 at 10:42 AM

I am so very sorry for this very sad news you have received.
Blessed Francis Seelos, St. Gertrude, St. Francis, and St. Jude, and St. Joseph, please take both Fox and Catherine into your comforting embrace. May Fox know no discomfort and be able to have many special moments with his precious Catherine. Guide Catherine in knowing when and best how to help Fox until the angels carry him home to Heaven. And with a so special bond like this one, I believe that even when the last earthly goodbye has been said, Fox will find a very special way to remain with you from above.

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
