Urgent Prayer Request for Scruff the Dog

Nicole:
Please pray for my little Scruff. Someone shot her with a pellet gun last week. She had to have surgery to remove two inches of her intestines, which were then reattached. She has survived a week, but is now refusing to eat. She has been with us a long time and does not deserve to go out because of this!

Thank you and God Bless.

Dear Lord, please wrap your loving, comforting and healing hands around Scruff the Dog, strengthen her and heal her completely from this pellet gun shooting. Please bless and comfort her owner, Nicole also; thank You. Thoughts and prayers are with you, Nicole.

Blessed Francis Seelos, St. Martin, St. Roch, St. Jude, and St. Anthony, please hold dear Scruff in your calming, healing embrace, please allow complete healing to take place both physically and emotionally. Her Nicole loves her so very much and wants her to know how loved and safe she is.
Nicole, perhaps Scruff is now dealing with the shock of the trauma (almost or very much like post-traumatic stress) and I have heard this can affect the appetite.
Your beloved Scruff is very much in my prayers and may God Bless you both.

Scruff Update:

Blood work back...elevated numbers that can indicate kidney failure (from the trauma and shock of surgery at her age). Doc wants to keep her on an IV overnight to keep her hydrated and re-run labs tomorrow. Doc was concerned but relatively positive. He said he has seen much worse and if we can get her eating we may have a fighting chance. Michael and I truly appreciate all of your prayers and I believe that they are making a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...

I am praying for all the animals here. This site is truly heaven sent.

Perhaps you could research and ask your vet about mirtazapine.

God bless Scruff and her family!
