Prayer Requests for Susie's Pets

From Susie:

I have Prayer request,but do not have pics for Chancie or General is one with tumor on rib cage . I have one 4 legged baby Chancie who has a bad cough that won't go away now,she has went thru one RX from the vet she got better .Now the upper resp.infection (she gets one about 2 X a year ,maybe 3) it is coming back on her,so i made her a vet appt.for next week Then Spunky the one who has early signs of kidney failure & more,she is getting worse,she has to go back for a vet appt.next week. Next is Trouble ( have not gotten her lab test back yet) she is doing ok so far,she goes back to vet next week. And I have yet a 4th 12 yr old dog who has a tumor on the side of his rib cage,he is vomiting more & the tumor is growing on him. Not sure when he will be able to go.He is an inside dog,so that is better on him. tyvm,God Bless

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God,
for our friends, the animals, especially for animals who are suffering:
for animals that are over-worked,
under-fed and cruelly treated;
for all wistful creatures in captivity
that beat their wings against bars;
for any that are hunted or lost or deserted
or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put to death.

We entreat for them all
your mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them
we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.

to be true friends to animals

Prayer to St. Martin de Porres

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
