Prayer Request for Zoey the Dog

From Linda:

Please pray for my little lost Zoey. She is a 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier whom got out of our back yard on May 8, 2010. I have called rescue centers, vets, emergency vets, police department, fire department, building inspector, the public works, the SPCA. I have ads and fliers at all of the above plus petfinders, petfbi, fidofinder, our local 12 news, craigs list. We have canvassed the neighborhood with fliers and posters, spoke to everyone we can in contact with. I had a pet tracker come in with a blood hound but the rain that we had did damage to the scent. I spoke with a pet psychic and I have prayed every which way I can, and my prayers are not being heard. Could you please try? I am crushed, not eating, not sleeping, can not concentrate on my job, I am a mess and going downhill fast, I need help finding her. I will attach my flier so you can see her little picture. Thank you for listening to my request.

I have emailed Linda to put her trust in God.

Please pray that through the intercession of St. Anthony, God will answer our prayers for Zoey and all our missing pets.

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
