Prayer Request for Bravo and Persimmon the Dogs

From Emily:
I just posted a prayer request on your Facebook page, but I wanted to be sure you got it. Two of my dogs disappeared Sunday, Aug. 10 from our home while I was away on business. We live in the middle of a 206,000 acre state forest, so there's no telling where they may have gone. I've been devastated since then. My husband is in the military and is currently gone, and my family is 12 hours away, so I'm dealing with this alone. I'm absolutely heartbroken. Both of these dogs sleep in my bed every night, so it's been very, very lonely. If God doesn't have it in his plan to bring them home, I pray that they are safe and happy. I do hope, though, that they find their way back home. I miss them so much. Their names are Bravo, a two-year-old Black Lab, and Persimmon, a one-year-old beagle mix. Thank you.

It isn't only soldiers who make courageous sacrifices on behalf of their countrymen.
Thank you for yours, Emily.

Lord, mercy!

St. Martin of Porres, lover of even the humblest animals, relentless seeker of the lost, healer of the suffering, and tender comforter of the lonely--
O brilliant mirror of God's compassion, pray for us.
Lord, we beg that these good dogs quickly return home; if that cannot be, please promptly lead them to a place of safe shelter. Comfort Your dear Emily through these difficult times. Pour Your balm into her bruised heart, provide refreshment for her soul and rest for her body, and send Your good saints and angels to fill her home, caring for her and keeping her company in this time of need.

Lord, please also place this family under the guard of
St. Michael, your loyal archangel and patron of soldiers. May they feel the comfort of his powerful sword and shield over their lives.

Amen
