Update on Meanie the Cat

Esther- I am not sure if I logged in correctly, but wanted to be sure to thank everyone for their prayers. So, here again is my post:
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! After three and a half days of not going potty, Meanie went at 11:53 pm tonight! I have been praying, but still bawling in despair thinking we were going to have to put her down tomorrow morning, and it was killing me thinking that all of her pain through the past three surgeries (and four anesthesias) was all in vain-- now I have hope. I know this is only one hurdle in the many to come, but I was very worried about this one. Please continue to pray for her recovery, and pray for my husband who is losing his faith in God, and of course I will keep all of you in my prayers as well.

Esther- thank you for your wonderful website that is able to unite us all in prayer for those we love and who love us so unconditionally. I really believe that this is a direct result of all those praying for us. I truly can't thank you enough, and will keep you updated on Meanie's (hopefully improving) status.

Your prayers really do help! Please continue to pray for Meanie and for Pauline and her husband.

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
