Prayer Request for Luna the Dog

From our Facebook page:

Years ago my dog Luna had what seemed a serious sugar problem but you prayed for her and her tests came back great, now she needs your prayer again. In the last weeks she's had a series of health problems and today she was hospitalized due to blood in her urine. The vets haven't figured out yet what's wrong and I know she's in a lot of pain. Please pray for her

Unknown said...: Please pray for Jax. He is my sweet and loyal dog. Jax comforts anyone who is hurting. Jax is hurting now. Please pray that his hips and legs begin to heal. He is in so much pain. Jax's pal and playmate, Cash misses romping with him. We are so worried about our sweet dog. Prayers are much appreciated. Many thanks.

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God,
for our friends, the animals, especially for animals who are suffering:
for animals that are over-worked,
under-fed and cruelly treated;
for all wistful creatures in captivity
that beat their wings against bars;

We entreat for them all
your mercy and pity,

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
