Desi the cat got sick again and was at the vet. She has the beginning of kidney disease. This worries Deirdre, she has had a lot of doctor appts this week and will undergo a bone biopsy on Friday to determine what type of IV antibiotic to administer to her deep wound in her left heel that has been an open wound since this winter.

Urgent Prayer Request for Finn McCool the Cat

You helped me last year when my cat Keevah McCool went missing for 17 long days. We got her back because of your prayers and the kindness of someone that turned her into the SPCA…she made her way home because she had a chip and because all of those prayers were answered!

We were just told this morning that the big brother, Finn McCool, is in kidney failure and he is not even 4 years old. The doctors are keeping him at the hospital as we speak and are hoping to find out why as well as find a way of getting it under control so he can come home and have a normal life with his 4 fellow rescues who treat him like a big brother. He’s only been gone for 4 hours and I can tell they are missing him.

Finn has been very healthy and never had a problem at all until I noticed how much water he was drinking and how much he would urinate. I finally took him to the vets yesterday and the test results showed, much to their astonishment, that he is having kidney failure. Things aren’t completely hopeless and we are really praying for the best possible outcome which would be getting his levels where they should be, medicine daily and a new diet plan so his kidneys function as well as possible. He is still a baby and we want him to be with us for a long time to come.

Could you please post a message asking for everyone that is willing to say a prayer for our Finn McCool. He is an amazingly sweet, kind and gentle soul and he has brought unspeakable amounts of joy into the lives of myself and my husband. I have attached a picture of Finn with one of our other cats named Butters. Finn is the black and white on the left with his paws around Butters (gray & white.)

Urgent Prayer Request for Stretch the Cat

Please Pray for the recovery of our feline daughter Stretch (aka Pretty Girl). She was born March 1991.

Stretch was diagnosed with kidney disease March 2011 and has been back to the ER three times since then. We rushed her to the ER Friday, Sept 23rd at 3am dehydrated and lethargic. According to her Dr.she still isn't eating but her creatine has improved.

She has been a constant companion to us as we don't have any children of our own. She's been our source of joy. Please pray for her recovery and that we may bring her back in our home healthy once more! We ask the help of the prayer warriors to guide us and help us in our hour of need. Urgent Prayer Request for Whitey the Cat

Now is a very hard time for my family because our beloved cat Whitey, who has been suffering from kidney disease since 2007, is in bad condition right now. Although he has kidney disease, we have managed to keep him healthy for years, with regular check up and proper diet. Right now, his condition has worsened and my mom force feeds him everyday because he no longer wants to eat on his own. He also undergoes dialysis everyday here at home (the vet taught my mother how to) and takes several medications that make him groggy and weak.

I feel so depressed right now because I am uncertain if this time he will be able to recover. It's also so hard to see my family in pain as they see Whitey's condition right now. Whitey has been our baby for ten years now and we really love him so much, just like how we love all of our cats and all of God's animals. I pray to God and ask Him to heal Whitey if it is His will...and I hope He takes away all his pain and suffering.

Please pray for Zoe. She is a very precious and well-loved 7 year old Tortoiseshell who came to live with my mother as a kitten. Zoe was an orphaned, cross-eyed little thing that my mother fell in love with and adopted. Two weeks ago, Zoe had a kidney removed and the one that is left is not great. She's home now but recuperation is slow. She's a real trooper in her little Santa teeshirt that holds in her feeding tube and graciously puts up with the regular feeds and medication down the tube. She needs your prayers so that she begins to eat on her own and can visit the litter tray. She's got wonderful doctors but needs your prayers to get better. Please pray for Zoe. Prayer Request for Mila the Dog

i came across your wonderful site as i was doing a google search for the patron saint of dogs. our little girl mila is a 13yr old jack russell who has endured 2 surgeries and so many other ailments in the past year. in january she had to have surgery to remove scar tissue blocking her bile duct, she's had pancreatitis and is being treated for cushings disease. she recently had her gallbladder removed and they did a biopsy of her liver and there was a bacteria infection so she had to remain on IV antibiotic therapy for 5 days extra. that was 2 weeks ago.
the antibiotics were really strong, and because she was borderline renal disease, we fear her kidneys are failing. she hasn't been well the past two days and we are waiting for the results but it's thanksgiving weekend here, and we won't know until tuesday.
we love her so much and want to do whatever we can to help her, but we also don't want her to suffer as she has been through so much this year already.
if you could please pray for her that she will get better and also for us, for strength. i thank God that i was chosen to be her mom and am so thankful for everything she has taught me through the years. even at 13 she is still a ball of energy when she's not feeling sick and it breaks our heart that these things keep happening to her.
