Prayer Request for Riley and Sam the Cats

PRAYERS for Riley and Sam the cat. In about November of last year I had 2 Tabby kittens under my mobile home. A mother Siamese found the opening and left her 6 Siamese kittens. I found someone to help me trap and get them fixed. When they came back I was able to find a home for 2 of the Siamese. Due to some family problems I found myself begging for someone to help me with the 4 remaining. A good friend took them in. Within a week she determined 2 of them are adoptable. Last week she told me Sam, the Siamese, was beginning to relax but that Riley, the Tabby, was so scared she did not know that she could do anything for her. It is killing me to think that we may have to turn her loose. Please join me in praying that Riley will begin to settle down and that Sam will continue to improve. Thank you

Prayer for My Pet

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

for our friends, the animals, especially for animals who are suffering:
for animals that are over-worked,
under-fed and cruelly treated;
for all wistful creatures in captivity
that beat their wings against bars;

We entreat for them all
your mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them
we ask a heart of compassion

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
