Prayer Request for Seirra the Kitten

From our FB page:

PLEASE HELP US FIND OUR FUR BABY on Thursday our kitty went to the humane society in Greensburg to get neutered and as they were bringing him out he broke out his carrier and ran off. We looked everywhere we could around since Thursday. They said he ran across Tremont Street and possibly by St Ann's nursing home. If anyone lives near there, lynch field, and surrounding areas please keep an eye out for him! He is very loving and affectionate but considering he just had surgery he's going to be afraid. If anyone sees him please contact me right away!! His name is Seiarra, He is all black with a little white spot by his mouth and his chin,white on his chest, and all paws. We miss him very much and want him back home with us! Please pray, with me, for the safe return of this precious little kitten!!!

In Your infinite wisdom, Lord God,
when You created the Universe
You blessed us with all living creatures.
We especially thank You for giving us our pets
who are our friends and who bring us so much joy in life.
Their presence very often helps us get through trying times.
Kindly bless my pet.
May my pet continue giving me joy and remind me of Your power.

May we realize that as our pets
trust us to take care of them, so we should trust You to take care of us,
and in taking care of them we share in Your love for all Your creatures.
Enlighten our minds to preserve all endangered species
so that we may continue to appreciate all Your creatures.

Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called "The Rainbow Bridge" because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and
valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring
weather.
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who
loved them on earth.
So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one runs from the group.
You have been seen.
When you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again.
You look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.
