Picasso and Harley got out tonight when a sitter was over. I'm beside myself. Please, St. Anthony help return my kitties. My boys and I love them so much!

More on Macy's Story
"Macy" |
From Clare: It is truly a miracle .... She was gone for 3 weeks. It has been 39 ' for lots of days in Australia... She has travelled at least 80 kms from where I lost her... Lots of people saw her but she would just run. On Sunday just after you began to pray she ran into a house and ran out again. 20 minutes later she ran back and saw the dogs and ran off again! The lovely lady decided to leave her door open as she had a feeling she would come back...
The lady sat down to watch tv and in 20 minutes Macy ran in and sat on her lap! Macy never does this!
She is very thin and limping but home :)... Just 20 mins... She just ate chicken and drank water....
Thank you so much. I knew that the Holy Spirit was guiding her and angels near when I saw your return email Sunday.
Lots of Love and appreciation from Australia

I found your blog looking for prayers and help to deal with the fact our cat is missing, and have faith that he will come home.

Update on Giacomo the Cat
From Bonnie from email sent to me:
...and from comment she left earlier:
I posted an update on Giacomo as a comment. He is doing great! Back to normal. I really can't thank you enough for your kindness to me and for the prayers and kind words from everyone. It's been such a source of comfort for me, and I believe it truly made the difference. From what I've learned, a cat that does not eat for 5 days can be in real danger of becoming very ill and is even at risk for completely refusing to eat again. I believe the prayers made the difference. I will update in a week or so as a check in. And I will continue to visit your site and read peoples' petitions for prayers.
Thank you again.
...and from comment she left earlier:
Thank you so much for the prayers that he continues to do well! And, yep, I love his name too :) I wondered about whether or not I should taper his dose. The vet did not say that I should. I thought about asking, but I went ahead and stopped it all together on Wednesday night. The wonderful news is, he is back to his normal eating-- 2 days without the appetite stimulant. So good to know though, that resuming the meds was helpful for your boy; I will certainly keep that in mind if his appetite declines. Thanking you all for your prayers. A very big thank you to Esther for answering my request immediately, and for creating this site. I was completely at a loss and turned to prayer and you all.. And it worked. And I felt comforted, even before my cat improved. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. And I will continue to pray for all your petitions posted here, as I feel a part of a wonderful group that truly makes a difference.

I came across your website, and I think its very beautiful, thank you for creating this beautiful pet prayer outlet. I would really appreciate if you could please say a prayer for my beloved pet dog, Bella Reagan. Bella is a sweet, loving, kind, and gentile cocker spaniel. I adopted her 6 years ago from a shelter when she was 6 months old, she had been severely abused by her previous owner, but it never killed her spirit! She is the sweetest dog you could ever meet. Bella has to have surgery tomorrow to have a tumor removed from her back, I would really appreciate any prayers you could send her way. Thank you in advance!

Testimony from Anthony Catalano, who prays with those in need of healing at the Blessed Seelos Shrine every Saturday.
2/7/2012Shared by Mary Jane and used with permission.
About 8 to 10 months ago Mark brought Daisy to the Seelos Center to pray over her
Daisy is their pet dog and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The vet said she didn't have much time left.
Mark also confided that since they had no children, it would be devastating for his wife to lose Daisy.
I got a call today(Tuesday) and was told that Daisy had recently gotten a clean bill of health from the vet.
Thank you Fr. Seelos and Glory to God.
God bless you,
anthony

Urgent Prayer Request for Giacomo the Cat
From Bonnie:
Please pray for my cat Giacomo. I brought him to the vet on monday for a check up. He was fine. Wednesday he started throwing up continuously. I brought him to the hospital and he checked out okay. But he hasn't eaten since. I brought him to another vet Saturday and they gave him an appetite stimulant. But he is not responding to it. Im so afraid that the multiple vet visits have stressed him out and that he is not going to eat and will die, and it will be my fault for stressing him out in the first place. I'm praying to st. Francis for a miracle for this cat.

Prayer Request for Vincent the Cat
From Angie and Rhona:
we just found your wonderful blogspot – not sure how to use it cos we’re not very techy but please will you (and everyone you know) pray for us: we have 2 beautiful cats, brothers, who are the centre of our universe. On 26th December...7 weeks ago...one of them went missing in the middle of the morning in a supposedly safe, quiet area. We have searched relentlessly, brought in so-called experts, and done everything humanly possible but there is no trace of our little Vincent. We miss him desperately and cannot accept that he is gone forever. Please can you help us by praying and maybe put this on your blog as we don’t know how to do that, so other caring people will pray for him to come home as well ?
Just feel so desperate Esther, thank you from the depths of our hearts.
God bless you.

Blessed Seelos' Miracle - Formerly Paralyzed Maryland Priest Sees Miracle as He Begins Walking
The following article was shared by our friend at the pet prayer blog. Mahalo Lou Ann!:
"...but it certainly was miraculous.” Reaching into his pocket, Father Murray pulled out a small object he carries with him at all times. Encased in a small locket, it houses a relic – a piece of bone – of Blessed Francis X. Seelos, a 19th-century Redemptorist priest under consideration for sainthood, who had been a rector of the same Annapolis parish Father Murray once led. The two also share a good sense of humor and a love for preaching..". You can read the entire article on page 17 here

I believe that prayer is strong, please help me pray for Max and all the animals. Thank you so much!!

Update on Zoey the Dog
From Philip: "I'm not living the life I thought I would lead, but it does have meaning, purpose. There is love... there is joy... there is laughter."
― Christopher Reeve
I have been given the chance to right a "success story" about my little girl Zoey. Why not start off with a quote from one of the strongest, bravest and inspiring disabled man I knew of in my lifetime. Christopher Reeve showed the world how to live, love and laugh in the face of having a paralyzed body.Through his strength,he touched the lives of others around him.My story is the same as so many others on this wonderful site, but somehow my Zoey touched and changed my life in a way I never expected. To see this little 12 pound doxie fight back from the moment of her injury is a miracale to behold. She was never scared,I was.She knew when she was in pain ,I didn't.She knew when to start taking her first steps,I wasn't shure. For three years every day when I would come home from work she was there at the front door, whipping her tail back and forth in excitiment. She would then turn and run to her toy bin, shove her nose deep into the bottom and pull out her favorite toy and bring it to me.Yes,true unconditional love. Now it was my turn.I had to be strong for her.I could not let her incredable hound senses get a hold of my fears.Like many others I was lost when it came to a "downed dog".Little did I realize, so were many veterinarians.Yes,one vet actually said he wasn't to knowledgeable in paralyzed dogs! So after our emergency room visit, home we went with our medicines for pain, swelling and stomach protection, to give "crate rest" a try.Or as the e.r. attendent said,a last resort!!Well that night it was straight to the computer to find out all I could on "downed wieners" The first site that came up was Dodgerslist and that would be the only site anyone would need. The information on dodgerslist is unblievable. The forum site is all about interacting with moderators and members who are going through the same situation as you are.The best part is they are there for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week!. They have seen and heard all the stories from the members and can give the best advice available at the time. For me,they gave me the strength I needed to guide Zoey through her crate rest and recovery program of 8 weeks. The healing process is very slow but it comes, and when it comes each little step is it's own little miracle. In Zoeys case it was after 1 week ,urination came back after never losing deep pain sensation.Week 2 was tail wagging more and more.Week 3 was back legs starting to pump along when it was bathroom time in her sling for support.Week 4,5 and 6 was the back legs getting stronger and the feet starting to turn and point forward. As we come up to the 8th week, she has gotten much stronger in the rear and can take steps pretty good on her own now as we "introduce her" back into more of her old life style.Yes,she looks around at all the strange new ramps and mats on the floor and wonders what is it all for. Now,I know what I am doing,I guide her around in my world and together we are both ready for what the future brings and together we are both experiencing "love","joy" and "laughter".
Prayer Request for Rexy the Dog
From Lavania:
Please pray for my Dog Rexy. He has been missing since 03-02-2012 and it's almost a week and he hasn't returned home. We are missing him so much. I'm praying for his safe return and happiness each day.

Feast of St. Blaise - Bishop, Martyr and Healer of Wild Animals
This morning at Mass I learned of another saint who healed animals. According to legend, because of persecution, he withdrew to a cave in the mountains. The sick or wounded wild animals would go to look for him for healing. But they would not interrupt him if he was at prayer. Then we would heal them.
The following is an excerpt from Butler's The Lives of the Saints:
Dear St. Blaise, healer of animals that were either wounded or sick, pray for all our pets.

The sick or wounded wild animals would go to look for him for healing. But they would not interrupt him if he was at prayer. Then we would heal them.
The following is an excerpt from Butler's The Lives of the Saints:
When persecution arose, he withdrew by divine direction to a cave in the mountains which was frequented only by wild beats. These he healed when they were sick or wounded, and they used to come round him to receive his blessing. Hunters, who had been sent to secure anmals for the amphitheater, found the saint surrounded by the beasts, and, though greatly amazed, they seized him and took him to Agricolaus. On their way they met a poor woman whose pig had been carried off by a wolf; at the command of St. Blaise, the wolf restored the pig unhurt.
Dear St. Blaise, healer of animals that were either wounded or sick, pray for all our pets.
