Just wanted to send an update. I sent in prayer requests for my two dogs, Holly (a golden retriever) and Noel (a chihuahua) back in August (http://prayersforourpets.blogspot.com/2011/08/prayer-requests-for-holly-and-noel-dogs.html). Holly, who turned 8 in September, had to be put to sleep tonight. Her mouth cancer had grown to the point she was unable to eat and the pain pills weren't doing much for her. She died peacefully and quickly, with her head in my lap, as my mom, brother, and I surrounded her and loved on her for her final few moments of life. Please pray for us as we adjust to life without our sweet girl and start the awful grieving process. Also, please keep my 14 year old chihuahua Noel in your prayers as well. She has had some health scares while we were battling Holly's cancer and her age is against her when dealing with her health issues. We are really hoping not to lose our two girls back to back, so please pray that Noel will become healthy again, so that we aren't having to lose both of our sweet dogs, who are precious members of our family, within a short period of time. Please keep Hallie in your prayers as she suffers the loss of her beloved Holly and for little Noel.
Thank you!

Update on Holly and Noel the Dogs
From Hallie:
Dear Lord, please wrap your comforting arms around Hallie and her family as the mourn the loss of their much loved Holly. Please Lord, reach down and touch little Noel, heal her and return her to good health, thank You. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Hallie.
ReplyDeleteDearest Hallie, so very very sorry for your loss and my hugs to you at this most difficult time. Be assured of my many prayers for both your beloved Holly - may she know every joy of Heaven; and for sweet little Noel, Blessed Francis Seelos, St. Roch, St. Martin, St. Jude, and Our Holy Family, please take Noel into your healing, comforting embrace, restore her health and comfort her also as I'm sure she misses Holly very much, too. May the holy angels be present with Hallie and little Noel and comfort and help them at this difficult time.
