Latest on Tiller the Dog

From Jeff:
Tiller took a turn for the worse yesterday, and I'm not very confident that she will make it through today. I may take her to see the vet this morning but it doesn't look good.

She had a nice time saying goodbye to this place. There are some pretty famous friends she may be about to rejoin, and I told her if she sees where she needs to go that she can go. It has been pretty amazing. She just did stop wagging her tail.

I may have some more to say about this dog, or about dogs in general, but I may be busy for a while. I did want to pass on a piece of information. I have a friend who is a clinical veterniary nephrologist at Ohio State. HE has developed a very safe medicine - it's not really a drug, it's a hormone version of vitamin D. It's called calcitriol. It helps dogs that have kidney disease and don't want to eat. It's not expensive and you can Google it and read about it. This medicine is recommended by vets throughout Ohio and Indiana.

I appreciate the prayers that were sent to Tiller and she has had an easy time. Very peaceful. You always keep a little hope as long as they are breathing, but Till has fought a long fight.

God bless you all.
Please pray for Tiller and Jeff.

  1. For Jeff and Tiller - holding you both in my heart, God Bless you both! Please be assured of prayer vigil continuing for you both - it does sound like Tiller has started that special journey, and may the multitudes of angels accompany her!

Jeff, if you would like . . . you whisper to Tiller that she should look for a very friendly gentleman, "Louie", on "the other side" of the bridge - he will be so delighted to meet your Tiller. He's likely in the company of many many precious four-legged friends up there, and a pocket of treats, too.

Please take care of you, it's so very evident what a wonderful person you are.

And thank you for sharing the information about the medication, calcitriol, bless you.

We love you, Tiller, God Bless you and hugs and kisses, honey!
