Inky had ultrasound today. It looks like one kidney is enlarged and has a different texture, and that's the one that has stones. Likely cancer, but that's not definite. More analysis of the ultrasound from a specialist in the coming days. Meanwhile, let's pray to shrink it all!

From Brian and Robin:
Abbie Gail, You had 12 years, 10 months, 24 days on earth. That is 4,713 days. We were fortunate to know you for all but six weeks of that time. Steadfast and stoic to the end. You were a friend to all and we miss you very much. Thanks to all who prayed for our girl who scummed to the effects of the disease known as "Canine degenerative myelopathy" or DM for short

For all who joined me in praying for Kathie's Westie: THANK YOU! Thanks to all who prayed for healing for Kathie's little dog. She shared this today: . Westie....whip worm. They blood tested and did xray...all good. Then.checked his stool...aiyaiyaiyaiayi.....they kinda think they should have done that first. I think I agree. But thank God he is ok. Picking him up tomorrow.
Again, thank you SO much. I just talked with the vet's office. We are bringing Pepper in this Friday at 6:00 to have her put to sleep. I cannot make her stay with us when it's time for her to go home. I read the comments on the prayer request. What wonderful people!!! At such a difficult time, it is comforting to know that people I don't even know care. Any words to help us through this are greatly appreciated. Again, thanks to all for their caring thoughts and prayers. Please pray for Georgia and especially for Pepper.
My daughter, who is 28, will never have children, but she has the most wonderful Cocker Spaniel, Lily. Lily hasn't been feeling well for a couple weeks and has gotten much worse. Today was the second visit to the vet, and bloodwork shows that she is kidney failure. She isn't even two years old, and we have no idea why this happened. Please pray for our Lily. She is my daughter's whole life. Thank you. Blessings to you!

Please pray for my two cats, Arthur and Andrew. They are in the emergency room for ingesting one of the most Poisonous flowers to cats; The orange day lily. Please pray for their little bodies to overcome kidney failure, return to healthy functioning, and speedy recovery together. They are bonded souls, who would rather perish than be separated for any reason. Thank you for sending any positive healing to these innocent brothers.

From Lou Ann:
A dear friend contacted me today, her beloved and very treasured cat, Seamus, has some very worrisome elevated lab values, and is under cautious observation and treatment with their veterinarian. Seamus has always been frightfully shy and fearful of absolutely everyone except his loving human mama and he means the world to her. With his mama he is beyond affectionate and so very loving, Seamus is all she has. Seamus's mama is very financially stressed and is doing everything possible for Seamus, but is, of course, a very frighenting scenario for her. She has asked for prayers and I thought of all our prayer warriors immediately. Thank you so much for prayers for Seamus! St. Gertrude, St. Jude, St. Francis, Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, St. Anthony, please in your mercy lay your healing touch upon Seamus, may he have a full return to health, and many more years with N.
Today Bruno crossed over the rainbow bridge where he is no longer suffering. I pray that my family can find strength in this time of need to celebrate the good 8 years we did have with him. Once again thank you so much! May God Bless you always,Please keep Marissa in your prayers.

Please pray for my dear sweet boy, Mylo. He is a 14 year old dachshund who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Lord, please heal him of his critical condition. From Prayer Warrior Jean:
Would you please join me in praying for my friend Kathie's little dog? He is very ill. She just wrote this: Marshfield Veterinary Clinic could not see my Westie in an emergency. Had to make an appt but no appt available. No doctor there over the weekend. Closed. So I have a Westie dying. Blockage probably and if not, then one very serious bacterial infection. Dehydration is killing him too. Thank you.

Please pray for Misha, my 4 year old cat. She has been urinating blood and this morning she was running a fever and was not eating. It's a kidney stone....we are hoping it can be cured/passed with medication, because the operation is expensive...and its expensive; we might have to put her down if thats the case and I dont want that; yet I dont want her to suffer. Please pray for her! She's only 4 years old and was my 16th birthday present.

I found your e-mail link on a St. Francis of Assisi prayers for pets website. I know it is the end for our dear 15 year old cat Pepper. She had a stroke to her spinal column almost a month ago and can no longer walk. Our vet has tried eletro stimulation treatments with some success, but she is not going to recover. He has been out of town for the last week and will return tomorrow. We will need to face the difficult decision that we cannot make her continue to live this way. I don't want to let her go, but know I must. Please say a prayer that she can go peacefully--with or without our help---and live with God until we can be reunited again. Thank you for listening. Animal lovers are great and compassionate people.

From Lou Ann:
my heart is breaking tonight as I am thinking of the many four-legged friends sadly outside tonight in these frigid January temperatures. I am sadly not permitted to take any in, and there is a particular family of feral cats that frequent the neighborhood, and searching my heart I thought of the power of prayer and the prayer warriors who gather here at your special site. I know that a neighbor puts food out for them on a regular basis, how much I'm not certain :(, and they do have a type of shelter structure out for them, but it has been brutally cold last night and tonight and my heart is breaking for them, and all our four-legged friends who may be out on their own. I had phoned several agencies and they actually said they do not want to hear about this (!), frustrating at best. Could a prayer request be possibly posted for prayers for this feline family and all the feline, canine, equine . . . . friends who are in similar situations? Thanks so much, Esther! This is so very sad for me, but knowing the power of prayer perhaps many of our Saints, Blesseds, and Holy Angels will be able to intercede and keep watch and help these unfortunate ones. Thanks much!
I stumbled upon this site looking for a pray for my beloved bird Wing Chun. She is a starling I found almost 14 years ago, not knowing how much she would become such a cherished pet. She's going blind in one eye and I ask for anyone to pray for her sight and that she doesn't lose all her sight. I love this bird so much, I have very bad health and I'm alone but no matter how sick I am she can always put a smile on my face. I always felt God sent me this angel to get me threw tough times. I know all who post here know how I feel, she's like my child I never had children so my pets were my family. I lost all my other animals over the last 40 years, she's the last one. Thank all who prays for her and God bless. We pray for Wing Chun's healing through the intercession of St. Lucy patron saint of eyesight. Also, please keep John in your prayers.

I posted on your site originally in August 2011, about prayers for my sweet golden retriever Holly, who had mouth cancer. I sent in an update on January 24, 2012, with the news that she had passed and that our remaining dog (a chihuahua), Noel was in poor health. Well, our sweet Noel passed away this afternoon after 15 years with our family. I was able to see her today and she passed in her sleep sometime after I left to come back to college this afternoon, as she was already gone by the time my mom got home from work. We're all heartbroken, especially with the one year anniversary of losing our Holly being Thursday. However, we are thankful that she passed peacefully in her sleep and that we didn't have to make the decision to let her go. We miss her terribly already, so please pray for our grieving family. She was a huge part of our family for a long while. She came home to us at 6 weeks of age when I was in Kindergarden (I'm now a junior in college), so I've grown up with her my whole life. We miss our baby Noel, but we're so thankful she's not suffering anymore. Thank you,
Please send out a prayer request that my 10 week old beagle puppy returns home safely. She somehow escaped from our fenced backyard and has been missing for about 2 hours now. She's my special baby and I'm so worried about her. We live on a farm and have a pretty healthy coyote population in the area and it's the coldest night in 2 years. Thank you for your blog.

Asking for urgent prayers for our beloved dog, Toby. He recently suffered a puncture wound to his back for which he had to undergo surgery. We are now awaiting blood results test to find out the extent of infection. He is soon to be 12 years old. We're not ready to say goodbye. Our 3 year old is so very attached to him, as are we. Asking for prayers of healing and recovery. Thank you.
Spikey's home! many thanks to all my friends and family who prayed with me. who never gave up and who believed that with GOD nothing is impossible. Pray with your heart and believe that GOD is listening and HE will always say YES to your prayers. To GOD be the glory! Again, thanks for the Love everyone. Goodnight! —

Would like to request prayers for Millie, my daughter's bunny. I fear she will not make it through the night. I went out to check on her tonight and she was very lethargic and had not eaten the food from yesterday, which is very odd for her. Not sure if she was drinking anything, it is hard to tell as her bottle leaks constantly. I am an AEMT, so I rolled some of my knowledge over, and with guidance via cell phone from my nephew who is a vet, I have done all that is possible at this time. I will take her in to our vet in the morning, if she lives that long.
Thank you and others for your kind prayers. It breaks my heart to tell you but my beautiful Niko had to be put down yesterday. His condition had worsened to the point where he was suffering . It was the hardest decision in my life that I've made. I miss him so much it's unbearable. I had to let him go. He was barley awake before they came, I laid with him for hours before on the couch. I pet his head, and kissed him and told him how much i love him, his eyes were closed and his breathing was very shallow. the vet came to my house and my husband and I held him and told him we loved him and to go in peace. He is gone now and I pray to see him again when it is my time to go. I found comfort in you posting the prayers for him and I am very thankful.I know if your kindness you will be praying for Bianca. God bless you all!
I am writing to ask for prayers for my sweet cat Lovey, who also goes by the nicknames Bear and Bug. She is a Siamese mix, about 15 1/2 years old. She's a rescue cat, and she's been my best friend since she was 4, when we rescued her. She was with me as I graduated high school, went off to college, graduated college, started my career, moved out of my mom's home, met the love of my life, dated him, fell in love with him, and married him. She greeted me at the door and celebrated my good days. She licked away my tears when I had bad days. She cuddles in my arms under the covers and likes to put her face on mine. She is a very, very special cat. She started bleeding from her left nostril and eye a few months ago, but we were able to hold it at bay with antibiotics. Now her breathing has gotten very congested, and her face is becoming deformed. She has a nasal tumor, which is very rare in cats. I don't know how much longer she's got, but the prognosis is poor. I'm broken-hearted and devastated, and I can't imagine life without her. I had thought she would be there when we had our first child, and she could be Aunt Lovey. She is my best friend in all the world, and she means so much to me. Please pray for her health, and please pray for the strength I need to let her go across the Rainbow Bridge when she is ready. Thank you,

I have just found this site as I searched online for a prayer to help my little angel niko. He is having kidney problems And the vet tells me things are not looking good. He is there right now and will continue to be there for the next few days. They are giving him IV fluids to help flush his system as his kidneys sent functioning very well. Niko is so important to me he's been there for me through so much. He's part of my heart and the thought of loosing him breaks it. If you could please say a prayer for him I am doing the same. He's a Pomeranian and the best friend I could have ever asked for. Thank you

Thank you so much for the prayer request and prayers from everyone. What a wonderful site, Godsend. Steve is home, sore and tired but home and alive!!! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord for selfless animal workers who worked through New Years to save one little dog. A rare parasite had lodged in his throat and was killing him. It took the Vet 8 hours to diagnose him and treat him. He would have died if it had not been found so quickly. Praise the Lord, thank you Saint Francis, Saint Jude and all saints that intervened to save our little furry angel who keeps our Daughter safe. I’ve attached a pic of Melissa and Steve resting in the garden J God bless you

What a Life! for December 12-18, 2012
by Rev. Wilmer L. Todd
A brother and sister made their usual obligatory pre-Christmas visit to the little farm where their elderly parents lived. They had grown up on this farm where their parents raised a small herd of horses. The siblings had fond memories of their childhood, but for them city life was more exciting. Their parents named the farm Lone Pine Farm because of the huge pine on top of the hill.
The old folks no longer showed their horses. The years had taken their toll, and getting up on those frosty mornings was getting harder and harder. They sold a few foals each year. However, the horses were still their joy in life.
As the young couple prepared to leave, they confronted their parents, “Why not dispose of ‘The Old One’. It’s been years since she’s given birth. Why do you keep her anyway?”
The father drew near “The Old One” gently rubbing her softly behind her ears. He replied, “We keep her because of love. Nothing else, just love.”
The young folks wished their parents a Merry Christmas and headed back toward the city as darkness settled in the valley. The old couple shook their heads in sorrow. “How is it that these young folks do not understand the peace and love that fill our hearts?”
As they waved good-bye, the insulation on the frayed wires in the old barn caught fire. In a matter of minutes, the whole barn was ablaze and the hungry flames were consuming the loft full of hay. With a cry of horror and despair, the old man shouted to his wife to call for help as he raced to the barn to save their beloved horses.
The flames were roaring now, and the blazing heat drove him back. He fell to his knees, sobbing helplessly before the fire’s fury. His wife returned from calling for help cradled him in her arms, clinging to each other, weeping at their loss.
By the time the fire department arrived, only the glowing ruins were left. The couple, exhausted from their grief, huddled together before the barn. They thanked the firefighters for coming out.
The old man whispered to his wife, “We have lost much, but God has spared our home on this Christmas Eve. Let us climb the hill and look down upon our home and give thanks to God that it has been spared. The journey up the hill was hard for their old bodies in the steep snow. As they paused to rest, they looked up at the top of the hill and fell to their knees in amazement at the incredible beauty before them.
They saw a brilliant star glittering in the snow-frosted branches of their beloved pine. A crystal crescent moon glistened at its peak. No one had ever seen a Christmas tree such as this. They were breathless as they held each other.
Suddenly, the old man gave a cry of wonder and incredible joy. There, beneath the tree, in resplendent glory, was their Christmas gift. Bedded down about “The Old One” close to the trunk of the tree, was the entire herd, safe.
At the first hint of smoke, “The Old One” had pushed the door ajar with her muzzle and led the horses through it. Slowly and with great dignity, she had led them up the hill, stepping cautiously through the snow to safety beneath the pine. Now she lay among them and gazed at the faces of the elderly couple.
Her body was brittle with years, tired from the climb, but her golden eyes were filled with devotion as she offered her gift – the gift of love. Tears flowed as the old couple shouted their praise and joy. Despite their tragedy, this was a wonderful Christmas!
Hello & happy new year, we've a prayer request for a special furend at the emergency vet. For Tyler the huskamute, for veterinarians everywhere & for strength for us all to accept God's ways, LORD hear our prayer,
